Theoretical Module
Aimed at anyone over the age of 16 who is thinking about or has already started travelling around Madrid by Bike every day. You must take the theoretical module before you can go on to the practical module.
The workshop will focus on:
> The highway code, especially in relation to bikes and their environment in an urban context. > Balance in terms of the cycling landscape in Madrid today and expectations for the immediate future. > Strategies for getting the most out of cycling in Madrid (Popular or common routes, the North-South "coasting" strategy, intermodality with Local Trains or Metro in a South-North direction. "Believe it or not" routes) > Strategies to make you love cycling around the city. > Riding a bike safely. > How to reduce the chances of having your bike stolen. > Introduction to calculation formulas, apps and websites for comparing costs and time as regards the different types of transport versus the bike, depending on your daily route. > Question and answers session.
Practical Module This is for people who have already completed the theoretical module. A two-hour ride accompanied by a monitor, putting into practice everything you learned in the theoretical module.
