A park is already a stage. Planned meetings, chance encounters, pointless conversations and sometimes the deep reflections of two or more people...
Speaking of...
- Sometimes someone is staring at you.
- I've already seen. What comes next? Without reason?
- No good. And then a conversation about some general topic is brought up.
- And then? What happens next?
(The Square. Margueriite Duras)

A park is already a stage. Planned meetings, chance encounters, pointless conversations and sometimes the deep reflections of two or more people. A homeless shelter, a place of contemplación, for walking, for plating, for seduction... The bank becomes a perfect place for complicity or antagonism, if only through the physical proximity of two strangers. The word does the rest. This is the focus of eight peices that that constitute Continuidad de los Parques, as it was for Marguerite Druas's The Square and Zoo Story by Edward Albee. Unlike these, however, we are witness to the drama of their characters as this play offers a perverse and deceptive comic game, a mosaic of appearances, continuous misunderstandings halway between realism and absurdity. It is full of suprises and is a highly puzzling, fun piece.

In Coninuidad de los Parques, Roberto Álvarez, Fele Martínez, Gorka Otxoa y Luis Zahera play over 20 roles that intersect, collide and that are found and 'unfound' in a park. The park, that piece of green amongst the concrete, noise and expanse of the city. There, in a park, away from noise and the indoors is a change of smells. rhythm and pace. In a park the rules of the came changes and you find yourself. And, maybe thatnks to the you also find someone else. Or is it the other way round? Is it in meeting someone else that you descover yourself?

Through humour, the work disects the troubles of truth, of your truth, my truth and the truth and it is the viewer that ultimately chooses their own. Continuidy de los Parqueshas the youthful spirit of Saki and Roald Dahl stories. Their common purpose is to surprise with wit and humour, to spark unforeseen situations causing a sense of strangeness. The true personalities of the characters are exposed as soon as the boundaries of the understandable have been surpassed. It is this ambiguity and partial realization that allows the viewer to enjoy the bewilderment and exhilaration.

Continuity of the Parks gives us a distorted view of reality through the eyes of some of its characters. En almost all of the pieces there is a clear duality between rationality and insanity, a confrontion between the fragile outside world that we can see and the distorted vision of this worldof the characters. In this conflict, the rational and passive individual enters a game of antagonism that is contagious and conducive to causing imbalance between the anger and the pleasure that comes from this new realiity.
