Programme
A documentary catalogue on contemporary performance practices: theatre, dance and performance arts.
The Artea archive began in 2010 from the historiographic work started in the Virtual Archive of Performance Arts, which gathers together a documentary catalogue on contemporary performance practices: theatre, dance and performance arts.

Conscious of the importance of documenting ephemeral arts in order to learn of their recent history, the Artea group contributes theoretic work and contemporary pieces recorded on video that have been used as a point of reference for creating new arguments for particular research. (www.arte-a.org)

File, search, find.
What do the boxes choose?

Like Warhole's Time Capsules, the Artea boxes of files open to show part of the material documented in their collection. In this little exhibition, you can see videos of the pieces Sandwalk with me by MARCELA LEVI & LUCÍA RUSSO, El Abrazo (The Hug) by NIEVES CORREA andShirtology by JÉRÔME BEL. Magazines, festival catalogues and specialist books have also been included, along with two artistic projects: Performances Poéticas (Poetic Performances) by BARTOLOMÉ FERRANDO y The Many Headed Monster by JOSHUA SOFAER, a practical, critical and interactive resource by Live Art Development Agency that investigates the relationship between audiences and contemporary performance arts.
