MOVING NOTES

In the 17th century, the “Sun King” founded the Academy of Music and Dance in Versailles. In June 2013, the compaany Malandain Ballet Biarritz presented its work challenge there: a dance piece with live music performed by the Symphonic Orchestra of the Basque Country. Two neighbouring countries, two Basque cities and two artistic disciplines came together in a joint cultural project: Serguéi Prokofiev’s Cinderella. This documentary follows the entire process, from the hatching of the concept to the staging of the work.
