Clara Collantes  manages the musical programme for sala Maravillas Club of Madrid since 2015. She has showed great versatility throughout her almost two decades as a guitarist and composer. Outstanding collaborations include Fernando Márquez El Zurdo, Lidia Damunt or Sierra, among others.   The session she proposes for La Plaza en Verano revolves around two ideas: the pop song as a vehicle for expressing diversity and inter-generational conection.
Ruiseñora features Elía Maqueda and Atilio González. They include elements rooted in couplets and popular Spanish music.
Tronco are two brothers talking leisurely about their daily experiences. The tiny worlds evoked in their songs are unique and full of charm. Tronco make pop music, songs with simple score and lyrics where other lives and dimensions echo. They have recently released a mini-LP with Elefant Records Abducida por formar una pareja (Abducted to find a partner).
Both proposals proof that it is possible to sing and tell things in a different manner, beyond cliches attached to each musical genre.
Paco Clavel, an icon in the underground Madrilean scene, will be the host and music conductor that will make the emotional link between generations possible. For Paco Clavel, music is a way of life. Paco is pop. His thorough knowledge of lesser known paths in music will entice and make us dance to songs that still sound new after decades. He will be joined by Juan Sánchez, his partner and co-host for the Cinema Oh! Culto sessions.
