Mandela Poster Project is a collective exhibition that gathers 95 posters on the figure of Mandela by different international designers.
This project was born in 2013, when a group of South-African designers proposed a homage to the figure of Nelson Mandela gathering 95 exceptional posters from all over the world, thus honouring Madiba's long-life contribution to humankind. It was an open call that lasted 60 days, over 700 posters were sent from designers from over 70 different countries.
A curation was made from all the works received where 95 posters were chosen, one for every year of Madiba. The selection has travelled around the world and arrives now to Madrid, a year before the celebration of the Nobel Prize for Peace's hundredth birthday.
This exhibition will be part of MadridGráfica17's programme, at Casa del Lector as one of its venues.
