Location




Matadero is located in the Arganzuela district of Madrid’s Legazpi quarter, close to the River Manzanares, which forms a natural barrier dividing the centre and south of the city. It is situated on the border between the city and its large river park.

In view of its location - to the south of other major centres of art such as the Reina Sofía Museum (1.8 km away, less than 20 minutes walk) or the Casa Encendida (1.5 km, just over 15 minutes walk) - Matadero Madrid is destined to be the prolongation of the city’s Prado-Recoletos cultural axis, extending it towards the river.
