Matadero Critical Studies

Matadero Estudios Críticos (M.E.C.) is a programme of independent studies linked in a cross-disciplinary manner to research groups working at the centre whose main goal is to generate collective working spaces where it will be possible to raise and address questions that help to critically question the times we live in through research and artistic practices.

A Wild Party is a space of experimentation on language and the immediacy of our bodies. When everything around us looks like a movement against love, we feel the desire to create a space where Literature means encounter and exchange. We invite workshoppers to ask themselves about every creative act that questions itself and the configuration of the world in which it is framed.

MICROHABITABLE – COURSE COMPLETED
MICROHABITABLE is a study program resulting from the collaboration between Matadero Madrid, Serpentine Galleries and INLAND - Campo Adentro. A publication, a radio station and a residency program articulated around reflections focused on the scale factor from the fields of art and the politics of ecology.

PROGRAMME ORIENTED TO SUBALTERN PRACTICES (P.O.P.S)
The P.O.P.S. is a space for critical experimentation whose starting point is a questioning of rationalism, scientism and the false objectivity of Eurocentric thought. This study programme proposes an educational exercise that implies the recognition of non-white bodies and involves image and voice as epistemic nuclei of subordinate knowledge.​
