OFF ESCENA: SI YO FUERA...

Helena Cabello and Ana Carceller occupy the old walk-in freezer at Matadero with an audiovisual presentation that questions the roles we assume, the degree of freedom from which we benefit and the repression of minorities. Off escena: Si yo fuera... is a reflection and a collective action working on the poetics of inclusion and exclusion in the current neoliberal capitalist society.  Freedom, gender and economic power are all present in this short film shot and exposed in the old cold store at Matadero with the help of female inmates. This offering captures on screen some of the current boundaries that separate individuals, questioning them and revealing how they are amplified depending upon the individual's degree of acceptance of the role he/she is assigned, resulting in all dissidents being made a political minority.
