ANNTONA

The summer concerts continue in the Archipiélago installation at Matadero Madrid’s terrace, this time with a live performance by Anntona. This is the next group invited to provide a soundtrack for Thursday summer evenings and forms part of the Archipiélago Pop project, which consists of eleven groups representing the best music emerging from the Madrid underground.

Anntona is the solo project of Manu, the lead guitarist of Los Punsetes. So far he has released a collection of demos entitled “Anntona es buena persona” (Birra y Perdiz, 2007), a split album with Espanto (Birra y Perdiz, 2008) and the LP “En la cama con Anntona” (Gramaciones Grabofonicas, 2009), which have received good, regular and bad reviews, including some that are incomprehensible because they are so poorly written. These days he reads biographies of serial killers, searches for himself on Google and is preparing his next album, said to be the fourth that he will have released.

In brief, this is a highly recommended concert that you can’t afford to miss this Thursday at 10 pm!
