The members of Sacramento are Sueco, Norman and Dorito, three natives of Madrid, and the group incarnates the kind of spontaneity that can only be found in the middle of the desert, barring one upcoming exception: on 4 August, you can enjoy their live performance in the Archipiélago installation at Matadero Madrid’s summer terrace. The innocence of a melody nobly backed with a voice like wind, an earnest guitar strumming friendly choruses and percussion as solid as a box of sun-ripened fruit, their music springs from an originality marked by the freshness of breaking the rules in order to have a good time Their first album, Waiting For The Mascota (Sicofonías Paganas 2010), dedicated to their nephews, is the best example of this. They just recorded their second 10” in early July 2011, and were quoted as saying: “Sacramento plays just like brushing a wet dog: stumbling but with lots of care”. They are mixing it now and it will be out in September, almost certainly under their own label. We’re very excited about them. Don’t miss out!
