The last concert of the summer season in the Archipiélago installation brings us Juanita y Los Feos with their punk, garage and pop rhythms and well-blended new-wave melodies. After changing musicians several times, the current members of Juanita y Los Feos are Juanita (vocals), Fa (guitar), Ángel (bass), Aníbal (organ) and Adolfo (drums). Their first release was a self-edited cassette tape entitled Cassette Records (2005). Since then, they haven’t let up: in 2006 they recorded Robot Gigante Avanzando (Gramaciones Grabofónicas 002) in the Estudios Circo Perrotti recording studios in Gijon. In 2007 they released four more songs for a CDR and Dead Beat Records (Cleveland, USA) has offered to make 1,000 copies of their upcoming album in the USA. In October 2007 they recorded their first LP, Juanita y Los Feos (Dead Beat Records-DB75, Beat Generation-025, Big Black Hole Records-010, Gramaciones Grabofónicas-08) in the Tigruss Estudios recording studio (Valencia-Gandía): 13 songs produced by Pepe Tigruss that clearly define the band’s sound. The album was selected as among the 40 top albums in Spain by Mondo Sonoro and reached the third position in Maximum Rock'n'Roll's top ten ranking. In October 2008, they returned to Tigruss Estudios to record eight songs, including the single "Angelines" (Cara B: Doberman) for Hey Girl! Records (2009), songs for the punk and hard-core compilation "Matado por la Muerte" (2009), released by Bowery Records, Holy Cobra Society, La Camorra and Rizillos Superproducciones and their latest single "Despacho Oval" (with the B-side “Twist”) put out by Discos Humeantes (2011).
