Roger Bernat and his collaborators are currently working on two projects: Por favor, continúe (Please, continue), which will open with Yan Duyvendack in November in Geneva, and Pendiente de votación (Voting still pending), which they will take to the Centro Dramático Nacional in February 2012. According to the authors, both projects are games which, once set up, are left in the hands of the spectator.

Far from making a theoretical presentation about them, they will put them to the test in a rehearsal where the audience will take the leading role. Although the dramatic strategies and technical mechanisms are left exposed, and although the games end up breaking, emphasis is placed on the “playability” of the devices, on the role of the players/spectators who, subject to the rules, are pushed into taking responsibility and finally abandoned to their fate, doubting between freedom and victory.   Roger Bernat (1968). After beginning his studies in architecture, he graduated in drama writing from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. Shortly afterwards, he founded General Elèctrica (1998-2001), together with Tomàs Aragay. Apart from touring these last two shows, he is directing Pendiente de votación, which will open at the CDN in Madrid in February 2012 and, together with the Swiss director Yan Duyvendak, he is codirecting the piece Por favor continúe, due to open in November in Geneva.   YOCTOBIT Teatro jugable coordinates theoretical sessions and monthly presentations as part of the programme of activities running alongside the project Homeward Journeys it is developing at Intermediae until December 2011.
