An irreverent and profane political drama about the clash between Danton and Robespierre in Revolutionary France in 1789, with references to post-modern culture. The action takes place in Paris during the time of the Jacobin dictatorship. The drama revolves around two leaders of the French Revolution by showing the fall of Danton and the nascent conspiracy against Robespierre.

This is one of the most important plays by Polish director Jan Klata. Born 1973, Klata has brought themes to Polish theatre that were forgotten during the post-Communist period, such as socio-political problems in today’s world, modern music, pop culture imagery, poetic distancing and a grotesque reckoning with national myths.
