Sala 2 in Matadero Madrid’s Naves del Español is putting on Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter in a new show by Animalario, directed by Andrés Lima and starring Guillermo Toledo and Alberto San Juan. In this play, Pinter once again shuts two human beings up in a room to tell us about the stupid servitude created in human relationships. Ben and Gus are two contract killers who remain locked in a dingy basement awaiting orders from the organisation they work for. Meanwhile, they begin to receive absurd food orders via a dumb waiter.
