DREAMS, THEY ARE STORIES

Casa del Lector puts forward an activity for the whole family, where parents and children can enter the world of stories and dreams through two simultaneous activities.   While parents are attending the Story time (La hora del cuento) workshop to become masters in the art of story telling, the little ones enjoy Dreams, they are stories (Los Sueños, cuentos son), where they immerse themselves, through activities and games, in the exciting universe of dreams and fantasy.   Dreams, they are stories:   This proposal aims to provide a space for children to realise and learn about different aspects of dreams. We will play, listen to stories and create activities on the basis of these themes:
 

• Books that we have on the nightstand
• Dreams as nonsense and triggers for creating stories
• Dreams as desires
• Legends from other cultures about dreams

  We will meet once a month while mums and dads are in the workshop learning how to tell stories.   Program:   First session: Bedside books Second session: Dreamt dreams and desires as dreams Third session: Aaahhhhh! Horrible nightmares Fourth session: Everyone dreams   Delivered by:   Gabriela Waisberg: Primary school teacher and expressive body-work teacher. Specialist in animated reading. With more than fifteen years experience working in workshops with children, adolescents and adults in Community Centres, Libraries, Foundations and schools.   (*This children’s workshop will be given in a simultaneous format inseparably with Reading to tell stories: Story time (Leer para contar: La hora del cuento), workshop for fathers, mothers, grandmothers and grandfathers)
