“Design for the real world ” that is to say that in this workshop we will have a Real Client, we will really be working. With the system used in Alberto Corazón´s studio we will, step by step and in a group, break down and deal with all the important aspects.
This means that we are going to: receive and understand a Client briefing, prepare it, budget for it, examine it and improve our Design process by developing all phases of the project, Design, Design, Design and Design.
We will be Transparent, communal, didactic, operational and focused in order to get the most out of it. Logically, the whole process requires 16 hours (Workshop time), so that we will have compressed and condensed a lot of knowledge, but if we really get down to it (you and the rest of the group, 15 designers max), the results will be highly satisfying for you as a student, for the Client and for the workshop’s Management.
To successfully realise this Workshop you need to be able to use Design programs (mainly Illustrator or vector based design programs). Please, confirm that this is so before proceeding with booking a place. Furthermore if you could tell us what you expect to gain from this workshop, although this is optional, you would help us to meet your expectations.
It would also be helpful for us to know how you found out about this Workshop.
Who is the Client?
The Client is an NGO that requires a logo. The Client is not going to be charged for the work that we develop (although we are preparing a budget as if this were not the case) and is not obliged to accept the results. All it is obliged to do is to be a Real World Client, to listen to us, explain to us, defend or accept what we present to them; i.e. take an active role in the Workshop so we can get the most out of it (the same as the client will get from us). The Workshop’s management will make a careful selection of Candidates with the potential of being Clients to ensure of compliance with the terms expressed above.
