RETRATANDO TIPOS

What would we like to learn about and experiment with?   To coincide with the Día Internacional del Diseño Gráfico (International Graphic Design Day), we are going to take part in an activity, which will enable us to learn about and experiment with fonts.   This weekend activity, forms part of LED;-) Laboratorio Experimental de diseño y creatividad’s program; concerning primary school education approached with the creative and decisive possibilities that design presents to us. In this Laboratory we will be looking for a progressive and creative learning style. We are not so much looking for a physical resolution, but rather a creative experience with the qualities that derive from the different manifestations of design: fashion, interior design, product design and graphic design.   What will we be doing in this workshop on the 27^th and 28^th of April?   _We will talk about letters, media, size and form. _We will observe and reflect on billboard posters: their design and message. _We will play around in order to find letters in of our own. _We will play around to create a new font together. _We will plan out and design a billboard, made by each on of the participants with the fonts created. _In this activity we promote play and imagination. _In this activity we are not so much looking for a result, but rather a progressive and creative way of learning through the disciplines of design.

Coordination and implementation of workshops:   muakbabi   muakbabi is a design studio that makes decorative objects for children and carries out cultural administration. This last instalment of our activities, serves as a vehicle to transmit values that form a structural part of the objects we design: based on the idea of design being defined as a transmitter of a plurality of realities, such as global culture, a respect for nature and its resources, our culture and that of others, play, creativity and, of course, fun as a way of learning… this is design with an educational value!!
