Pedagogías Invisibles is a research and actions collective in Artistic Education made up by professionals from different fields: Secondary schools, Universities, Museums, Arts centres and contexts set in the community. We share the concerns of identifying, analysing and transforming the invisible pedagogies of any act in which learning occurs. As a concept, invisible pedagogies are an uncontrollable, infinite set of micro-discourses that happen –and/or don’t happen- in pedagogic acts, and which take place on a secondary (hidden and unconscious) plane, which heads towards an ideal place, one which transforms the mind and body of the participants involved in this pedagogic act.
As part of the think tanks promoted by Matadero Madrid, Pedagogías Invisibles is coordinating Microondas, a disruptive education laboratory that, without establishing formulas, has the aim of implementing paradigm shifts in the current education system, which it considers as obsolete. It has aregenerative nature, which is to say that, whilst still remaining critical about the system, it is also optimistic and proposes alternatives by an understanding of the question as a system of transforming possibilities. At the same time Microondas also aims to reflect on education from a contemporarystandpoint, analysing the changes and transformations that have occurred in the current context as well as trying to develop fluid, rhizomatic and hybrid educational practices.
Microondas bases itself on three areas of work: A Formal EducationLaboratory, a Laboratory of Education/Mediation in Visual Arts Centres, and a Social Education Laboratory. These lines of enquiry/ action develop themselves from an “Each one teach one” (i) approach every Thursday at 5pm-8pm in the months of April, May, June, September, October, November and December, 2013
