Cristina Lucas. Es Capital (It is Capital). From 1 February to 11 May
A representation and analysis of the principle paradoxes of the capitalist system, in four parts. What is the current price of the original manuscript of Karl Marx’s Das Kapital? How much gold is there in the Bank of Spain? What is the beauty of a cosmetic surgery clinic? Es Capital is a production for Matadero Madrid’s Abierto x Obras in collaboration with Acción Cultural Española (Spanish Cultural Action), the  Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo (The Galician Centre of Contemporary Arts) and the Museo Patio Herreriano (The Herreriono Courtyard Museum), with the support of the DKV Insurance.
Esther Pizarro. Un Jardín Japonés: Topografias Del Vacío (A Japanese Garden: Topographies of the Void). From 1 February to 20 April.
With Un Jardín Japonés: Topografias Del Vacío, Esther Pizzaro begins a new line of programming for Matadero Madrid, Gran Escala (Large Scale), with which to reflect on the dialogue between the work and the volume of the space. Un Jardín Japonés: Topografias Del Vacío is a co-production of Casa Asia (Asia House) and Matadero Madrid marking the Año Dual España Japon ( ) in collaboration with Sales del Centro, Ambienta and Led-Stock.
We-Traders. Cambiamos Crisis Por Ciudad (Swapping Crisis for City). From 1 February to 20 March.
With examples from 25 projects from across Europe, Matadero Madrid continues to investigate the relationships between art, urbanism and social enterprise. We-Traders is a Goethe Institute de Madrid initiative in collaboration with the Goethe Institute of Madrid, Lisbon, Toulouse and Turin as well as Matadero Madrid, Medialab-Prado, Intermediae and Pista>34
Fernando Baena. Historias de Madrid (Histories of Madrid. From 1 February to 20 April.
Histories of Madrid is the history of the city and its landscape, interpreted as performance by ten artists and collectives from Madrid and culminating in a series of films. This work investigates the role of context in relation to film, action and history. The artists that have contributed are Rafael Sánchez Mateos, Anna Gimein, Velvet & Crochet,Andrés Senra, Pepe Murciego, Marianela León, Discoteca Flaming Star, Rubén Santiago, Nieves Correa - Abel Loureda y Los Torreznos.
