The meeting between the two geniuses discussing their two emblematic works on the Civil War (Premonition and Guernica) is portrayed against the tense atmosphere of this drama, on the eve of the inauguration of the International Exhibition in Paris in 1937 - while Spain was already burning up with hatred and gunfire. The main characters in this amazing illusion attack and defend themselves, and the critical analysis to which they submit their respective works can only end in a sacrificial, liberating, cathartic apotheosis - Arrabal style - with one of them acting as the other's priest. The vision that each of the main characters has of the other's work provides a whole prism of interpretations that Arrabal dissects in a game of fascinating masks. Demythification, alienation, ceremony, madness, rhythm that can only end in the sacrifice of one of them.   With what ease Arrabal unravels each situation, how fresh his dialogues, how dizzying the action and, above all, how intensely pathetic the characters tied to their sad destiny: creators of worlds and characters that don't exist and that see the last ceremony of confusion looming before them. What is "to be"? What is "not to be"? Who knows who he is? Is it not a madman - a dreamer - who tries to?
