We will discover truths and falsehoods which are no longer so due to the continuous innovation in science and technology; the art of appearing to be what it is not; the immeasurable value of what is copied against the original; artificial extensions to our body and mind; the meticulous documentation of falsehoods and the reality of recreation through supercomputing.
Artists of the spoken word, musical performances, short public speeches. Speakers will include the physicist Alberto Casas, artist Jorge Mañes, film director César Pérez Herranz, performer Le Parody, entrepreneur Emilio Sepúlveda, special effects expert Colin Arthur and many more, who will be sharing their challenging ideas with the public. There will be locally sourced delicious food, plus a unique gift bag designed and made in the capital with fabrics from Madrid (the third in our series), whose contents were selected to discover, ponder and enjoy. Once more our mobile app will put us in contact with everyone before, during and after the event.
Only for attendees, 3pm to 4pm on the unlit stage, Unrooms will be launched. Do you want to exploit the collective intelligence of the public at TEDxMadrid? Invite them to your Unroom to discuss with you the topic you had announced earlier. The Unrooms at TEDxMadrid 2014 are informal conversations intended to extract the full potential from the macro-brain that is made up of the attendees.
TEDxMadrid 2014: the sixth edition of the event staged by volunteers and out of a love for Madrid. It is an event without plastic, that will offset the CO2 used, that will publish its accounts, and with shared criteria for assigning free tickets.
