ANIMARIO 2024: International Shorts Competition
ANIMARIO, International Festival of Contemporary Animation of Madrid, will celebrate its seventh edition from December 12 to 15, 2024. With the aim of supporting the creators of animated film, the calls for its two awards are open: ANIMARIO Award for Best Animated Short Film and ANIMARIO Award for Animation Production. Organized by Matadero Madrid and Cineteca Madrid, cultural centers belonging to the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport, ANIMARIO will once again bring together the best contemporary animation in Madrid with an extensive program of feature and short film screenings, conferences, master classes and workshops.
The ANIMARIO Award for Best International Short Film has a prize of 5,000 € and is open to works from all over the world up to 30 minutes long, created in any type of animated technique. The call for entries will remain open until September 30, 2024 and will select works of the world's best animation to be screened as part of the festival's International Short Film Competition.
In the last edition of the festival, the ANIMARIO Award for Best International Short Film went to Salvation Has No Name by Joseph Wallace (UK).
