Intermediae Distribuido 2025 - 2026

Focused on collaborative practices and community-based projects, this open call seeks to select three artistic proposals capable of generating connections and fostering dialogue between Matadero Madrid — Center for Contemporary Creation — and the social and cultural fabric of the Arganzuela and Usera districts. These projects will be developed both within and beyond Matadero Madrid between 2025 and 2026.

It also aims to identify, develop, and strengthen local artistic proposals that incorporate intersectional perspectives such as gender, ecology, care, anti-racism, or the empowerment of both emerging and rooted communities. These communities will find in Matadero Madrid a space for interaction, exchange, learning, experimentation, and self-representation.

As a result, Intermediae seeks to create a space for encounter, exchange, and reflection among the selected projects, the communities involved, the participating creators, and cultural structures.
