Depth of field. Meiro Koizumi

Depth of Field, is a programme that Matadero Madrid devotes to the production, screening and study of contemporary audiovisual practice. The aim is to generate a creativity meeting point for the medium and visitors, relevant both locally and internationally. In collaboration with Cineteca Madrid, guest artists will present their works in an open-doors meeting, as well as adding a Carte Blanche to contextualize and dialogue with their own work.

The first series of Depth of Field revolves around the concept of violence including the works of Meiro Koizumi, who examines a wide range of fundamental subjects in the configuration of contemporary society, such as the dynamics of power, the conflict between duty and desire or the boundaries between public and private realms.
