Tentacular Festival. Cecile B Evans

American-Belgian artist Cécile B. Evans helps us understand the forces that shape and control our affective experience by examining the value of emotions in contemporary societies, and how they conform or rebel when they come into contact with the physical and technological structures that impact our daily lives. Her video, installation and performance work uses narrative to negotiate the possibility of many diverse realities within a common space. Recent projects have explored the nature of human-robotic relations, the search for emotional truth amongst a group of virtual beings, and attempts to engineer utopian communities through the social engineering of architecture and design.
