The Artist Residencies Center at Matadero Madrid, a contemporary creation center of the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport, will hold an open day on Saturday, 22 November, where the public will be able to discover the projects developed by the national and international resident artists, who share working, research and creative processes. Throughout the year, different activities offer glimpses of what happens behind closed doors, but it is during these open days—held three times each season—when all residents share their work and processes through activities and conversations with visitors.
On this occasion, the programme includes guided visits, listening sessions, video screenings, project activations, lectures and concerts. The doors of the Artist Residencies Center will remain open on Saturday the 22nd, from 11:00 to 20:00. Admission will be free until capacity is reached.
In addition, the advisory team of the art and environment residencies—artist Bárbara Fluxá and curators Gabriel Alonso and Virginia Torrente—will accompany the artists with two guided conversations.
