Cineteca Madrid and Matadero Madrid, cultural centers of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Area of the City Council and managed by Madrid Destino, with the support of the Plaza Río 2 shopping center, located opposite Matadero and next to Madrid Río, present the third edition of ANIMARIO , International Festival of Contemporary Animation of Madrid.

The second edition of L.E.V. Matadero is as ambitious and experimental as ever, and it will offer four days of new experiences in the field of audiovisual creativity, electronic music and the use of digital tools, through face-to-face activities and new proposals created specifically for a digital environment.

As 2019 recipient of the Han Nefkens Foundation – ARCOmadrid Video Art Production Award, artist Hao Jingban presents Opus One a dual-channel video installation at Matadero Madrid as part of their “Depth of Field” programme which focuses on the production, screening and study of contemporary audiovisual practice
