Matadero Madrid center for contemporary creation
Desmusea is a cultural cyborg mediation collective formed by Clara Harguindey and Daniel Pecharromán. Their work appropriates collections from museums and cultural institutions with the aim of articulating new narratives about them through digital projects. Understanding themselves as a cyborg, Desmusea seeks to explore the presential and intimate from virtuality and what there is of virtuality in the present. In 2019, they directed the Vertex of Weird Experimentation (Vértice de Experimentación Rara) programme at the Queen Sofia National Museum Art Centre (MNCARS), and in 2020 they directed the “Rendija” project at the Condeduque Centre for Contemporary Culture.
