Indagaciones atmosféricas (Atmospheric investigations)

The Atmospheric Investigations project seeks to imagine the epistemological dimension of climate and the atmosphere. Its aim is to observe how our ways of measuring and forecasting have changed over the years, how climate cycles and ecosystems have been affected, and how this affects the lives of humans and non-humans and the relationships established between them. Gattás is interested in investigating the changes in meteorological sciences in the light of the ecological crisis we are experiencing.
Using an an-archaeological methodology he will analyse the archives of the National Meteorological Agency (AEMET) and photographs from the archive of Augusto Arcimis Wehrle, Spain’s first professional meteorologist and founder of the Central Meteorological Institute in 1887.
