Matadero Madrid center for contemporary creation
Olga Staňková
I observe increased need of returning to nature, finding new ways to being closer to it, feeling the need of emptiness without it in society. This matter of fact may reflect contemporary escapism, an effort to draw attention to the current ecological form of nature, but also subtle capture of what is disappearing. I reprocess this specific kind of urge in my art works which are related of current state of nature as same as are invisibly heading to view of future.
Fluid Nature is focused on tendencies in contemporary art which reflect current state of nature. Fluid Nature tracks different artistic approaches of main topic together with experimental positions of artistic expressions. Project tries to find boundaries of paintings, objects and materiality in connection with communication of subject.
The research is based on my own artistic practice which tends to research specific environments (usually in clash of pure nature in the environmental and technological norms).
Fluid Nature deals with these phases: observing and recording (modified) nature; investigating and exploring; experiencing and perceiving; capturing the complex scheme.
