Transition is a collective and inclusive analysis of the feminisation of the labour market in the hybrid context of the metropolis (or the context least affected by the burden of an identity conditioned by the norm), through conversations with several people who have been specially marked by gender and social class, by difference and precariousness. And who are therefore always in transition. The core of the project is a documentary series that has no established format or visual continuity as such, that combines these dialogues by way of an archive; together with different performance art pieces whose aim is to study the very idea of paid work and its recent manifestations and to investigate certain gender roles that seem to serve the demands of the market and that function, we feel, as representations of society's instituted hierarchies. 

The project includes the publication of a book that contains the visual, documentary and literary material that resulted from the encounter.

Saioa Olga González is a visual artist and writer who frequently uses documents, photography, video, fanzines, performance art and sculpture to reflect on her own work context which she uses as a starting point to explore and denounce her own ethical and legal foundations.
