Studio Debajo del sombrero

This space stems from the determined intention of bringing to the forefront of the most contemporary art the indispensable testimony of the work of artists with intellectual disabilities, a vacant space, however, on account of their supposed insubstantiality. A lack of substance to which a reflection devoid of prejudice and surprised by the unexpected and hitherto unknown transcendence of these gazes, turns its attention.The Studio currently hosts 45 artists who are supported by Debajo del Sombrero team of facilitators and by collaborators from an artistic background who volunteer their work every year.

They carry out their artist studio sessions in a space at the Centre for Artists in Residence.
