ABISMAL

“We build the experience we dream of living. A real utopia”   Abismal is a self-managed experimental music project that finds expression in various events, celebrations and releases. The overarching goal is to create a transformative community experience, an entertaining space that will, in short, alter the perceptions of whoever enters it.   Since 2010 Abismal has organised dozens of events in cities such as Madrid, Hamburg and Berlin, in a bid to bring the most daring sounds in electronic music to unusual places: social centres, museums, squatted houses, abandoned buildings, etc.   Over 50 musical, visual and other artists have performed at its celebrations. All of them have one thing in common: they view music and creation as a form of exchange. In view of this, they are all given equal importance, irrespective of their backgrounds. This horizontality and openness to anyone wishing to participate is also evident in both how Abismal events are organised and in the sounds that can be enjoyed at such events.
