Art Motile Art Motile and Matadero Madrid present AIR ARRAY, a three-day event focused on artist in residence programmes and artist mobility. The event consists of two main activities: a two-day meeting for AIR programmes and a half-day mobility workshop for artists.
We invite artists, directors of AIR programmes, researchers, cultural managers, and all those interested in artist residencies and mobility to participate in the event.
The meeting for AIR programmes will be a space for the exchange of experience and knowledge where all attendees will be active participants. Over the course of the two days of the meeting we will collectively work on several key aspects of the field of AIR programmes at a local and international level. The knowledge generated among the participants will subsequently be compiled in a small digital publication which will be free and accessible online.
The mobility workshop for artists will provide information and guidance to the participants for finding opportunities in this field. At the same time we will put forward a critical and reflective approach to some aspects of the AIR phenomenon that directly affect artists’ careers.
