First part of a triptych in which ceramics becomes both the material and the gesture of an inquiry into our worlds in the making—a journey through the ways we believe and create collectively. Qui som? makes a clear wager: that dreaming is an exploratory and transformative force, an imaginary power that goes beyond us to reconnect us with other presences, a way of orienting ourselves through journeys in the dark, through secret lands. It wavers. It lives. In color. In clay. In plastic. Among waste and eternity.

“Our inner worlds, our intimate territories, are the ground on which future social landscapes will grow. Therefore, if the outcome is already here, inside our bodies—if it is already being shaped within us—we try to bring to light everything that keeps joy and desire alive, everything that resists in us through song and dance forever, to help us be brave enough to see ourselves and not to forget the worst.”

Barbara Métais Chastanier and Camille Decourtye for Baro d’evel.

Founded in 2001, Baro d’evel is one of the most renowned companies on the European scene for its unclassifiable blend of forms and disciplines, ranging from dance and circus to visual arts, music, poetry, and work with animals, as demonstrated in acclaimed productions such as Là and Falaise.

Performance included in the Large Format and Contemporary Subscription Packages.
