BARROCKEROS

A musical premonition
What would Beethoven, Mozart, or Rossini think if they could listen to Queen, The Beatles, or Iron Maiden?  What would Baroque composers think if they had the chance to get up close and personal with the rock world?

At times we forget that all music- absolutely all of it- was contemporary music.  That is, it was the music of its time.  But time is, without a doubt, a factor that has a determining influence on music.  The most modern music is seen as antiquated over the course of the years (sometimes not even that many years).  And some pieces composed a long time ago seem radically modern to our ears.  And what would some of those composers from throughout history  think if they were able to listen to the music of our time?  What would Beethoven, Mozart, or Rossini think if they could listen to Queen, The Beatles, or Iron Maiden?  What would Baroque composers think if they had the chance to get up close and personal with the rock world?  We suppose that some of them would find it fascinating.  And others… well, others would feel as if they were hallucinating.  And who knows?  Maybe a new musical style would be born.  The mixture of rock and Baroque: the world of the Barrockeros.
