Summer in Plaza Matadero brings us an eccentric competition in a small water pool with Ruja Office, a concert between punk and indie music by Cuello and the other side of La Movida movement with a selection of spanish music by La fonoteca.
Bomba Gitana with Ruja Office   Somewhere between a TV set, an Olympic stadium and a village open-air dance, Bomba Gitana is a competition for fools off the street capable of behaving in the most eccentric of ways, never before seen, in a small pool of water. Amongst the competition’s various secret categories, which will be revealed on the day of the contest, the most notable will be dedicated to the strangest and most entertaining SWIMSUIt. So don’t forget to make yourself gorgeous for the occasion.
Five exotic and exuberant men and women from all over the world will form a panel of judges, determining the winners of this first edition.  The "Gitano Rumbero" (Rumba Gypsy) who will set the pace of the competition, chosen unanimously by the FIBG (Federación Internacional de Bomba Gitana) during its last congress in Chiclana, Spain, is the prestigious DJ K-SETS.    Cuello   If the world were fair, which it isn’t, the members of Cuello would be multimillionaires and have swimming pools shaped like guitars at their respective mansions in Hawaii. Musically speaking they are hyperactive, participating in bands such as Jupiter Lion, Betunizer, Derrota, Zanussi, etc. And we’ve almost certainly forgotten one or two. They have a punk style without being a strictly punk band, and they mix it up with a lingering hint of the best indie music of the 90s and a voice that sets them apart from any other band.
La fonoteca   This is a platform for the promotion and dissemination of Spanish music both inside and outside our borders. It has taken on the task of writing hundreds upon hundreds of Wikipedia-style biographies of Spanish bands for its website, and also has a record label that it uses to continually support and give a voice to past and present Spanish music. Its session will be devoted to introducing us to bands which in a just world would be known by all, a bit like the flip side of the La Movida movement. Beirut is a good example.
