CARMEN

This exhibition, curated by Luis F. Martínez Montiel and José Luis Rodríguez Gordillo, aims to analyse the long history behind the myth of Carmen, from the time that Mérimée penned the character and Bizet brought it to new heights to contemporary interpretations from different artistic disciplines.    The fundamental objective of this exhibition is to reassess the figure of Carmen and the atmosphere that has surrounded it from the moment it was created (but without ignoring the background that made the myth possible), highlighting its contemporary artistic development.
