The Central de Diseño Market has been held at Matadero Madrid since October, organised in collaboration with Dimad.
It has become a monthly event committed to supporting the very latest in art and design by the country's most inventive and promising fashion designers, jewellers, industrial designers, interior designers, illustrators and many other trades.
People have described us as a Talent Market, and as one of the championsof Spanish design.
The latest edition returns after summer with a host of emerging designers, plenty of enthusiasm and novel proposals for the new school year. We welcome the new term with our “Back to School” edition, where you'll be able to find things for children and adults alike, to start the year off on the right foot.
With our sights set on remaining a fixture and being a stable platform with which to support design, we've already confirmed the market for the first weekends of each month: 6 and 7 September, 4 and 5 October and 1 and 2 November. Entry is free and the market is open from 11am to 10pm.
We have 80 exhibitors as well as concerts and a wide range of food and drink options.
The paper company, La suysa, The must have, El sinvivir, T-sir, Mimétrica, La platanera, Black mouth co., Feel flow design, Saint brissant, Miolos , Croqueras & Humbold, Lanthane, Tiralahilacha , Miseria, Sho Barcelona, Yiyi guzt, Sanz i vila , Caquilala, La mouchette , Polarite, Pakita clamores, Oliva & tom, Andro collections , Ribags, Jengibre made with love, Cyrcle, Elena mir, Becker & co, Tiahara, Sol picciani kispa, Miom cuero y más, Slowers, Le kiin, Carla lopez, Arte en papel& co, La tonta y rubia , Blups , La carola , Mouet, Brz wood design, Kaif, Marroto art, Gabimore, Imascono art, Ana Monsalve, Proko, etc, etc. As part of a special collaborative initiative, throughout the day on Saturday 6 September we will be selecting the finalist who will participate in DCODE 2014 / BDCODER.
On the Saturday the 5 contestants selected by a panel of industry professionals from Jenesaispop, MondoSonoro, Fred Perry, Live Nation, Mercado Central de Diseño and RNE will play at Madrid’s Central de Diseño Market. On this same day the panel will choose the winner, who will perform at DCODE 2014.
