Closing night at La Plaza en Verano 2017, will have Grupal Crew Collective and their dance party-contest Matadero Dance Clash, an end of the summer classic preceded by warmup djs Julián Mayorga and Nathy Peluso.
JULIÁN MAYORGA
Julián Mayorga's music arises from the strangest new tropicalist scene of Colombia. It includes psychedelic elements. Latin American folklore, electronic music and experimental sounds. He uses a peculiar electronics for his show, including self made synths, Latin American percussion samples, loops made on the spot, tropical groove, voices and psychedelic guitars. His staging includes a frantic performance, which has earned him a place at festivals such as Sónar (Barcelona), Sound Isidro (Madrid), RBMA ‘A la cart’ (Montréal), Festival Centro (Bogotá), among others. Nathy Peluso is a multidisciplinary artist raised with the sounds of swing, jazz, blues and theatre. Born in Argentina, her raid into urban music has proven to be promising. Different media (Noisey, Beatburguer, Tentaciones, La Vanguardia...) describe her as the year's revelation. Warm bases in slooow motion and a voice that, in her own words, comes from another space and time to bring fever.
