SISMO FESTIVAL. Coreógrafos #2 is a variable collective, a research project and a series of performances, among them, their premiere in El Cuadrilátero.
C O R E Ó G R A F X S is a research outfit inspired by a choreography culture in 1970s' New York that wished to incorporate the collective into daily life through the body and “the union on stage”.  The revolution of May 1968 in Spain, the appearance of the hippie movement of the 70s, the feminist movement and the gay movement provided the context; these “movements” representing a new way of understanding the concept  of equality (democracy would be the future for Spain).  So, inspired by this context, we reappropriate some of the concepts that defined these body cultures and, at the same time, we ask What do these cultures mean in the current market democracies and, especially, in relation to the body-work-brand triangle.  The goal is to create tools and techniques to help us see the likelihood of working successfully with certain emotional tonalities that could support the incorporated process of the precarious nature of our lives and work, in the hope that these tools and techniques might help us get a glimpse of how we could support ourselves in the mobility that characterizes our time and discover what might the implications be for our ties, our lives and our daily routines.
C O R E Ó G R A F X S will be working throughout 2011-2012 in traveling workshops, choreography, a website, discussions, interview-documentaries and the online publication of a notebook-tool. Coordinated and facilitated by Paz Rojo with the collaboration of Manuela Zechner and Emilio Tome.  Support from OKUPACIONES-LA PORTA; SISMO; Escena Contemporánea Theater Arts Festival.
