New edition of the El Ranchito mobility programme organised by Matadero Madrid and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation.
New edition of the El Ranchito mobility programme organised by Matadero Madrid and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation. This is the first edition produced from the new Matadero Madrid Artistic Residency Centre whose objectives are to stimulate artists to produce works and knowledge, improve the mobility of local and national creators, while it generates learning environments for local artistic agents. The centre makes economic resources, tools, and professional guidance in creative surroundings shared by local, national, and international creators available to the city's creative community.

El Ranchito: Matadero Madrid- AECID Residency Programme is one of the key programmes in that space, offering international mobility grants to national artists and workspaces to international artists.
We bring the 98B COLLABoratory, in Manila, Philippines, on board as a collaborating partner for the first time. This gratifying exchange experience has been joined by new ex- changes with regular partners like Artista X Artista in Havana, Cuba and Tokas (formerly Tokyo Wonder Site) in Tokyo, Japan.   The presentation of the results of this edition is entitled DELIKADO PELIGROSO and consists of work by Tamara Arroyo (Spain), Celia-Yunior (Cuba), Theo Firmo (Brazil / Spain), Fidel García (Cuba), Jimena Kato Murakami (Peru / Spain), Miguel Lope Inumerable (Phil- ippines), Kat Medina (Philippines), Luciana Rago (Argentina / Spain), and Qenji Yoshida (Japan). Far away in Tokyo, Leonor Serrano Rivas is enjoying a residency at Tokas on these same dates as part of this edition's El Ranchito creators’ exchange.
