This series is dedicated to the French husband-and-wife directorial team of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet, who conceived their films as an act of resistance, a rejection of the homogenization of the film industry.  Their work stands alone due to the balance they kept between form and thought, the exquisite care given to the image and the music, as well as  the respect they show for texts by Kafka, Pavese and Duras, among others, that they adapted for the big screen.

> Series to be presented by Manuel Asín, Intermedio DVD, Thursday, February 9.
