EL RANCHITO. The corrala represents Madrid at its most traditional and humble. At El Ranchito, the collective Zira02 is carrying out a project to give visibility to corridor-type housing. At the same time, it is organising a workshop to demystify certain popular beliefs about the corralas, such as that they only exist in Lavapiés or that they lie in a state of ruin. To be able to continue dismantling myths (or constructing new ones), the work process will centre on three times that allow for three distinct approaches to each of the topics.
The workshop will be held in the corralas themselves and at El Ranchito, in Matadero Madrid.
