EL VIAJE DE KHADIJA (KHADIJA´S JOURNEY)

Khadija was born in Amsterdam, both her parents are from Morocco. As many other Moroccan girls, she has grown up in Europe between two often confronted worlds. She visited her parents village, Beni Chikar, twenty years ago, a little village near Melilla, by the Spanish border. She used to spend her Summers there when she was a child. She wants to make amends with her roots, but she cannot admit macho attitudes that prevail in Morocco. Her identity is influenced by her grandmother's, whom she adored. Mamma Allal was feared by the men in her village. Her legend is still alive.
