This exhibition is conceived to be read and composed of a hundred panels with texts and infographics.
The exhibition shows the changes experimented in the realm of reading throughout the last decade. Ten years ago two devices were launched (ereaders and smartphones), which has progressively spread digitality in our society. The exhibition offers an interpretation of the transformations that reading has gone through in the digital context. The exhibition consists of four content bodies:
Ten years after: a denomination for the description of the ten elements of change in the ecosystem of reading and its industry.
Design thinking: a description of the use of a tool to update public services for reading and to boost their responsiveness.
Reading mediation: a call for dialogue on the role of traditional mediation of reading in a digital context.
Promotion of reading in the family: a set of ideas to encourage reading habit and skills from home in a digital context.
The exhibition is organized by Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez, as part of the experimental programme Casas Lectoras (reader houses), supported by Ayuntamiento de Madrid (Areas of Equity, Social Rights and Employment).
