Whales, gorillas, panda bears or lynxes are known as umbrella species. By saving them, what we are really protecting is the whole of ecosystems and biodiversity in which they are included.
This is the reason why we wish to encourage the use of bicycles, since it represents as well a form of umbrella to our habitat.
Cities where bicycles have stopped being endangered, threatened or vulnerable species, are more habitable, more inclusive, less contaminated, quieter and healthier cities.
This is why on the Saturday, May 18th, Biernes con B and Matadero Madrid are celebrating a new edition of the FestiBal con B de Bici in Plaza Matadero. You can spend a wonderful day in Matadero’s public space for contemporary creation, with children and friends, with a view on the river. You can enjoy workshops, music, talks, art, fashion, competitions, showings, food, and of course, bicycles!
