Film & Cook is a gastronomic film festival that is set to become a permanent fixture for all lovers of film and fine food. Appealing to the five senses and increasing public awareness of everything related to the culinary and audio-visual arts, Film & Cook was conceived to make its mark as a leading cultural event on the national scene.    The intention is to discover, work with and experience the relationship between two of the concepts and arts that surround our daily lives: film and gastronomy. With this in mind, the programme includes screenings of documentaries, feature films and short films, all on the theme of gastronomy, coupled with showcooking sessions led by some of the biggest names in the culinary world. The crossover of both these experiences can open up unexplored territories, helped along by a generous dose of creativity, enthusiasm, art and good cooking provided by everyone involved. Film & Cook is also aiming to offer audiences an all-round enriching experience by inviting them to take part in talks, discussions, workshops and tasting sessions for a range of products. The festival wants to show but interact as well, and its intention is to make sure everyone enjoys themselves, learns something and feels involved.    Like ideas that are conceived, grown and developed, the path taken by this young event is already developing a name for itself in its sector. Year after year it has been gathering an archive of magical, delicious and unrepeatable memories, and the people behind the event are determined to continue working to keep on adding great moments over years to come at this festival of the senses.    A great new idea this year is the Market & Taste event, running alongside the festival programme and open from 5pm to 10pm. The market will be stocking products from both Spain and abroad supplied by gourmet and delicatessen brands. This unique gastronomy show gives visitors the chance to try speciality food and drink before they buy from the producers themselves.
