FILMADRID 2026

Once again, Cineteca will host the complete SMART7 section, a window for encountering the new voices of the continent. This competition comprises seven films selected by FILMADRID and the other members of the European festival association Smart7, which includes IndieLisboa (Portugal), Thessaloniki (Greece), Transilvania (Romania), New Horizons (Poland), Reykjavik (Iceland), and Kino Pavasaris in Vilnius (Lithuania). The works in this section are created by emerging filmmakers seeking new ways to tell stories and expand the audiovisual language.

Furthermore, in collaboration with the ECAM Forum, FILMADRID presents the Focus on Milagros Mumenthaler, consisting of three films and a masterclass by the Argentine filmmaker.
